Trek Overview

Experience a traditional village stay in the heart of Nepal, located just 4–5 hours from Kathmandu. This unique homestay experience allows you to immerse yourself in local culture while contributing to the livelihood of remote communities.

During your stay, you will live in a local home hosted by Lalu and his family. Activities are flexible and based on the season, your interests, and local events. You can observe daily village life, such as farming, herbal medicine practices, basket making, and interacting with local people.

You may also visit the local primary school, observe wildlife, and enjoy peaceful surroundings away from city life. Additional activities can be arranged if you extend your stay.

Timal lies in the southeast region of Nepal and is historically a Tamang settlement. The area features a Buddhist pilgrimage site called Hakshya Nakpo, where you can see caves and sacred footprints believed to belong to Guru Rinpoche. You can also visit Syabje Gonpa, an ancient monastery known for its religious significance and Buddhichitta bead farming.

Kathmandu to Pachuwarghat by Bus

Drive from Kathmandu to Pachuwarghat by local bus (approximately 4–5 hours). Enjoy scenic views of countryside, hills, and villages. Upon arrival, settle into your homestay and experience local hospitality.
