Trek Overview
Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 AD and is located at an altitude of around 200 meters above sea level. It is one of the most popular destinations in Nepal for travelers who want to explore wildlife and experience the unique Tharu culture.
The park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 and is one of the richest natural areas in the Terai region, the subtropical southern part of Nepal. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, and many reptiles and aquatic animals.
Chitwan is especially famous for its conservation of the one-horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, and crocodiles. The park offers an incredible opportunity to experience nature and wildlife up close.
